spring break: things i have done lately

-ordered new glasses
-ate some fajitas
-watched a lot of dvd's
-drank a jamocha shake
-went to bed early, twice
-thought about prom
-sat around with a group of friends and talked about our very near and very separate futures

beginnings and ends swirl about me now at speeds that make me nervous. i remember being a little kid and watching the water slip away down the bathtub drain as i cheerfully bid it goodbye. as stupid as this sounds, i feel in many ways like that little kid.
i am not grown. i cannot even humor myself with a delusion that intense. i picked out the baby picture of me that will be shown at graduation. in it, you can see my face so clearly, just a little younger. less teeth.
where am i going? i cannot tell you, not even in the physical sense.
i am a little kid sitting among the blocks of his life, giggling at the successes, puzzled by the failures, waiting for...well, just waiting i guess

lately i have been thinking a lot.
