summer

A friend of mine (the one who some of you met at Cornell and who also made it into Harvard early) is raving about a summer program that he is participating in. The program is called Oxbridge or something of the sort and it stationed at Cambridge, Oxford, and Paris. He is going to the Paris branch and has been harassing me about going. He wanted to persuade some of my school friends to go with him and then afterwards tour Europe for a while. Don't tell him that I said this, but I don't want to spend that much time with him in Europe (with all respect to my friend who is amazing and one of the few people at my school I can even stand, but he is VERY math/science oriented, or rather, exclusively math/science oriented). Then again I don't think I my family can shell out the six grand it costs either. That being said, he did persuade me that after senior year, some major traveling/partying was due. If anyone at all wants to pick me up on his offer which I am now extending to all of you (the travel in Europe part, not the Oxbridge part), I would certainly love spending another summer with all of you. My grandparents own a farm outside of Munich which, as I have done every summer of my life, I will visit for an extended period. This is basically an extension of all my other hospitality offerings of my home in Cali to include my grandparents' home in Germany.

Wow! Does everyone's family have acreage in foreign countries? I would invite everyone to visit my family's land in DR, but the squatters are taking it bit by bit and the country is a bit, how do you say, third world.
