Now that the dust has settled...

Where did everyone end up?

I just finished factoting at UMich and following this year's TASPers' flurry of correspondences has brought me back to this blog. I sort of missed the boat on the last thread, but looking over it again, it seems there was enough uncertainty all around that it would be worth an update anyway.

I just moved into an apartment in Brookline, MA (with my four-year college roommate and another college friend) and am starting a Ph.D. program in Biological and Biomedical Sciences at Harvard (at the Med School). So the next 5-6 years in Boston for me.

Wondering about your lives

Hello all-

It occured to me that this would be a great time for everyone to share what they´re thinking of doing next year. I´m terribly curious to know what you guys are considering. Even if you´re not graduating yet or have already graduated, let everyone know what you´re thinking of for the future (or if you´re completely undecided, that´s cool too). You can read my (very tentative) plans in the first comment.

I hope I´m not adding to the pressure some of you guys are undoubtedly feeling. Rather, I was hoping we could take a breather from our own lives for a moment and consider how our friends our doing, and whether or not our paths will be crossing in the near future.

A wet Teddy is like a wet rooster in August

I'm here in Cambridge (MA) for most of the summer taking care of some thesis research. Some exciting stuff about a membrane protein called CD39. I'm also playing the part of Jack in a summer production of the Importance of Being Earnest, which pretty much takes up all of my time when I am not in lab. On Sunday, I am back to Germany for two weeks.

Summer at Harvard is pretty lazy, but I've been making friends with the other lead in Earnest who is the co-president of the Harvard Lampoon and a now retired figure skater of 16 years. He's going to be in a figure skating calendar next year (apparently he is something of a hunk in the figure skating world, though mainly, I gather, because he is not gay). Also funny: I was hanging out with some of his Lampoon friends last night. One of them is named Teddy and has a southern girlfriend whom they all make fun of. Any way, it started raining and they riffed for like 15 minutes in their best terrible southern accents about what she would say when he got home.

I really want to see Tell No One, but as I am not in LA or New York or France, it's not really an option. Talk to you soon, Teddy.

Hey Theo look what I found

So as I mentioned before I´ll be tutoring again this coming summer. Remember when you got that introduction letter from Andrew and Minyang...well I was charged to do the same for this coming TASS for my TASSers as of April 15...it´s the 19th and I´m just now getting to it. I had to scavenge through my email to look at the one that I ganked from Andrew and Minyang for last summer´s TASS, found it and as I was on the TA website taking information to replace for my letter I looked at ¨past tasp/tass´s¨ and saw ours and that was the first time in a while I saw Greg or Masha´s name....so I typed them in on google.

There were some queer studies articles I couldn´t look at for greg, but look at what I found for Ms. Masha Raskolnikov http://profiles.friendster.com/486486#moreabout And I thought we were the ones that had to look out for these online networking sites that tell ALL your business ripe with drunken/high pics that up until now were quite illegal for our formerly underage selves(well, till Aug. 24). Anywho, hope you guys enjoy this if you didn´t already know.

Hey Teddy How ya Doin

Since nobody reads this blog anymore I´m going to have some fun...with myself so that when somebody finally does they´ll realize how crazy/(hopefully) funny I am...So since I was the last to post, I´ll just respond to my last post. Thanks for bringing the blog into the new year, without you the blog would still be stuck in 2007. I have found out for you that Layusa,Josh,Olga and Yiwen and maybe a couple others are actually studying abroad...go figure. However none are in South America...actually I think as TASPers 2004(wow long time ago right) we are covering the 7 continents...well except Antarctica and Australia. Josh has Africa on lock, Yiwen´s up in Beijing holding down Asia, Olga and Layusa are somewhare in Europe. Well as far as Telluride goes, we are ruling the Tutor/Factotum world with myself tutoring in Michigan, Nina tutoring in Indiana(where I was last summer, good luck), Paul factotuming in Michigan conmigo, Mr. Barany will be doin the same at UT-Austin, and Josh and J-Drag at Cornell.

So no matter what TASP any of my former TASSers attend I´ll have an extra special TASP 04-ian eye on them!!!!

Well...maybe I´ll badger a couple of you on the fbook to hit up the blog, with your thoughts, and telluridean happenings. It really is crazy how this networking thing works now that we are well into our college careers. also in the event that any of you read this post, if you know, which i´m sure many of you do, because you are all over-achievers like that...post on what your post-grad plans are, law school(yuck), med school, and the likes!!

just curious as to who reads this blog....In order to make this a useful post...i'm currently in the business of not getting enough sleep b4 flights to miami and then Ecuador for the semester, in Quito. Anybody else going abroad?

Summer '07

Hello, all.

I would like to apologize for my long absence from this space. I'm sure all of you have wonderful excuses for your conspicuous silence these last few months. I was simply forgetful.

I did actually try to post some deep thought or another a couple months ago, but I was prevented by some changeover in Blogger technology. While I'm glad that snag has been fixed, I mourn the loss of my deep thought. It could have changed lives.

But to look ahead: What are you guys doing this summer?
