Happy Birthday Jen!

On this, Mozart's 250th birthday, it's all too easy to forget the birthday of our favorite person ever to be named Jen Green: Jen Green! Hope middle-America finds you well on this, your (and Mozart's) special day.

trip

Hi. Nina and I have decided we like you. Consequently, we would like to spend our spring break visiting the massive concentration of TASPkind in the northeast and their fair cities, pending approval. Nina has assembled a tentative itinerary. David, Urvesh, Hannah, Layusa, Julia, Olga, Jim, Kim, Paul, Ben, Tess, Ashley, Stacey, Josh, Jordan, Alex, Yiwen, Robin….does this work? Can we stay with you?
(Sorry to Mike and Katie…we like you, too, but are slaves to money, time, and general practicality.)

Friday, March 17 (or Sat, 3/18) Leave Chicago for Boston
Tues, 3/21 Leave Boston for New Haven
Thurs, 3/23 Leave New Haven for Philadelphia
Sat, 3/25 Leave Philadelphia for Chicago

Close One

I normally access this beloved blog directly through its url "www.tasp04.blogspot.com". Imagine my surprise and utter confusion then when I typed in the url of my favorite website and instead came across "Mega Site of Bible Studies." Looking carefully, I discovered I had typed in "www.tasp04.blogpsot.com" Now what are the chances of that? What are the chances that anything will have a url that includes "tasp04?"

1-1

it is sixty degrees outside tonight, with a breeze that makes the trees sound an awful lot like the ocean. hard to believe that it's january 1st, not some other random summer night when i lie around, waiting, waiting, waiting for a new life.
in a few days, i am going back to a place where i feel more at home than i have for a long time. right now i am entertaining a lot of questions about identity, destiny, and all of those other frustrating abstractions. yet, all the while, the breeze is such a large presence in this room that i cannot help but feel some inexplicable sense of contentment with all of this.
i guess i just felt like writing you guys. this day reminded me of more than one unique summer. on the way to blog, i noticed that there are more than 500 posts on this thing.
it's kind of like this big box, stuffed to the brim with letters and postcards (of different voices, colors, and handwritings).
i am content with this box, too.

Skype, anyone?

I just installed Skype, the free internet phone thingee which has been receiving much press lately (skype.com), on my computer. Now, I need to try it out. Has anyone else made such a brash download of late, or is anyone else willing to take the plunge?
