Summer '07
Hello, all.
I would like to apologize for my long absence from this space. I'm sure all of you have wonderful excuses for your conspicuous silence these last few months. I was simply forgetful.
I did actually try to post some deep thought or another a couple months ago, but I was prevented by some changeover in Blogger technology. While I'm glad that snag has been fixed, I mourn the loss of my deep thought. It could have changed lives.
But to look ahead: What are you guys doing this summer?

I'll be taking French language and literaure classes at the University of Chicago Paris Center for about nine weeks, then trekking around France for about two weeks before heading home. I'll be in Europe from June 12-August 21, then at home in Chicago until school starts at the end of September. Let me know if you'll be in Europe or Chicago at any of these times.

Remember those critical theory lectures some of us (especially me, Alex, Luukas) used to go to? I'm doing that full time this summer... attending the School of Criticism and Theory. I'll also be helping out with the CU TASP again.
I'm helping to plan TA's convention in Ithaca this summer, and I'd love to see you there!
I'll be in Berlin - flights within Europe are so cheap* those of us there could all meet up somewhere.
* and by so cheap I mean like 20 euros a flight. Like cheaper than getting to the airport!
I'll be tutoring TASS at IU this summer. Should be ....awesome. The good news since none of yall will be at IU, I'm hoping some of you will be in the Chicago area in august. After the program i PLAN on driving the 4hrs to Chicago and stay with a friend from UAB, but mainly to hang out with friends like jessica and others whom i haven't seen in ....well nearly THREE years now!! wow, ok yea so chicago in early august.. see ALL of you there!
I'll be working in Beijing for Intel... VISIT! An early June excursion to some other Asian destination is not out of the question, if anyone wants to join me.
hey cool, the blog works again! I tried to post something here a month or two ago and was told that the blog didn't work?? But this is great! Blog activity == fantastic.
I will be interning in Chicago pretty much all summer. Come visit.
i will be home may 8th-july 31st (come to malaysia?), and after that i'll be in buenos aires in the fall and (probably) beijing in the spring. any and all expeditions to these places will be most welcome.
I'm staying at Wesleyan to work on campus. Yay! Come visit me.
I'll be doing research in Bonn, Germany for two months (until August 5) and then will head to Italy for two weeks, just for the hell of it. Then back to sunny L.A. for the last weeks.
I'd love a visit in Bonn, especially on the free weekends we have (some weekends we have group trips planned), or to meet up with anyone who will be in Europe for my last two weeks of traveling.
