A post for the TASPer-debaters
First, like life, I am laden with false dreams and empty promises. After dropping the ball on registration and other arrangements, and realizing that we can't even place consistently at local tournaments (despite a 10-3 record and two third places,...we still haven't won a close round), we decided not to go to the Glenbrooks. (I'm also missing enough school for debate already, with Mondays almost impossible to make up.)
I was hoping to have a good excuse--the midwest regional finals for the Westinghouse science competition were the same weekend--but I wasn't selected. On the bright side, I was a semi-finalist (yay, Michael!), so I had to wait until this morning to have my hopes dashed.
I also found out today that one of my math professors' sons is none other than Serge Voronov, of paleological notoreity. It came up after I had to miss a class for a debate tournament.
Adios,
Michael
