a cheery new england hello

I am at Amherst, and I will be until early afternoon on Monday. There are all sorts of somewhat sad TASP reminders. I met two guys from the UMichigan TASP here, both very cool, and as they told me about some of the crazy things that happened (the TASS kids ambushed the TASPers in the basement of the Michigan Telluride House with waterguns, whereupon the TASPers retreated to the stairwell using a kiddie pool as a shield) and we reached a consensus on how great it all was, I felt this really fierce longing. For TASP, yes, but mostly for all of you.

I also met this guy named Francisco (I'm fairly certain that's his name) who said he attends school with our very own Jordan Jacks and met Sophie last weekend. So exciting. Less than six degrees of separation!

I think I ate the exact same kind of sandwiches today that I had on that first crazy arrivval Sunday at the Telluride House.

So, that's all the news except for...HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH! Go gorge yourself with soup and the neverending pasta bowl, and be truly happy.
