New SAT
So, most of us, being seniors, probably don't give a shit about the new SAT that was premiered this year. I would like to announce, however, that in the first sitting San Marino high school had four perfect 2400s (there were a total of 107, 24 in all of California).

(In case you don't believe me, I can actually put you in touch with Elliot Min, except that he is an annoying, homophobic prick so you probably don't want me to. And he doesn't really dance very well either, by the way.)
I really wanted to use this to illustrate the pathetic state of the environment in which I live right now. Let me clarify: a good friend of mine got to know one of the 2400s really well over spring break and they really like each other. So my friend asked her out to prom and she turned him down because--get this--her AP tutor forbade her and everyone else in her tutor class from attending the prom since it would distract them on the weekend before the Chem AP. Pathetic, anyone? I mean, why on earth would a threat from an AP tutor have any sway afterthe AP has already been completed? What is she going to do--kick you out of the class if you don't get a five? And worse than that, Chemistry is the one class at my school where we actually have a good teacher, plus, it takes two years to complete (you have to take normal chem first), plus the AP test has been getting easier and easier over the years. Every year of our AP chem teacher's two classes more than half of the students get 5s, all but a few get fours or fives, and just about everybody passes. And because she prepares the students so well, no one worries about the test because they all know what it is going to be like and they know how to do it. Nothing against anyone who can get a 2400, but I really wish some people would just chill (and Elliot Min can just go live on a desert island somewhere).
