Monuments and Melodies

My hands are trembling
And my eyes are on fire
This house is crumbling
Left brain, left out, on the wire

You make me happy
You magnify my better half
You make me certain
Though all I have today is your photograph

My past is perilous
But each scar I bear sings
Monuments to where I have been
And melodies to where I am going
You make me happy
You magnify my better half
You make me certain
Though all I have today is your photograph

When will I see you again?
Still-life can only go so farI need you in front of me
Saying my name
Saying to me...
"I want you the way you are
You, the way you are

"You make me happy
You magnify my better half
You make me certain
Though all I have today is your photograph
You make me happy

An ode to TASPers. When I listen to this beautiful song by the one and only Incubus I think of you guys. I admit the lyrics aren't nearly as powerful when Brandon Boyd(lead singer) sings them, so go illegally download the song!! Or go to the store and buy their single for their album A Crow Left of the Murder which contains the Monuments and Melodies among 2 other songs.

P.S. I graduated! Although it doesn't seem as magnificent as people make it out to be. Oh well another giant leap toward UAB
