Last Tango in Malmö
It's my last night in southern Sweden. Tomorrow, I take the train north to Stockholm where I will hopefully be able to stay awake for more than a couple hours at a time. This morning, I gave my lecture to a captive/captivated audience of aspiring Swedish teens. Aside from the drug-induced sweat pouring down my face throughout the entire half hour, it went quite well. They really enjoyed an analogy I made to Vikings and the MN football team ("the kind you play with the hand, not with the foot"). One joke that they didn't get but I'm sure you'd appreciate: "Another example of an industrial polymer is Kevlar, which my fellow Americans are now using in Iraq to protect themselves from all the rose petals being thrown at them."
After the talk, I took a brief trip across the bridge to Copenhagen and passed by a Brahe observatory and the royal theater. We had to leave prematurely, however, after I found myself too fatigued to keep my eyes open. Speaking of fatigue, it's getting near to bed time.
Adieu,
Michael
