The Trip

Road Trips are the shit. I'm sure many of you have been on many, but as of 2 days ago I was a road trippin virgin.

Me and some graduate friends of mine wanted to go to Six Flags Over Georgia during the school year but thanks to bad weather and poor planning that trip went straight to hell. Randomly my friend asked if I wanted to go to Six Flags on Friday and I was sorta pissed cuz I had work and knew it would be hard getting out but did and felt happy. My next order of business was somehow getting in touch with Kimberly cuz Six Flags is right outside Atlanta! After many many failed attempts I got through and I had planned to pick her up or something half-way through the day, never happened. But she did invite my friends and I over to her house for like pizza or somethin.

Well while preparing to ride one wooden roller coaster we were asked to get out and they told us due to "inclement weather" we are closing the ride, for now. Only instilling a sense of false hope that it will soon open. One of the workers advised us to just go home so we started walking and then a monsoon started raping us as we ran to the van. We were completely drenched and the friends mentioned us just going home cuz we were all soaked and shirtless(with one girl) and that it would be odd, this shirtless redneck looking crew from alabama arriving at the doorstep of a beloved tasper. After much debate we they insisted on me visiting Kimberly so we did. Luckily Kimberly lives in the South and has a true sense of "Southern Hospitality", not that you guys don't but you know. She dried our tops and offered us other shirts and fresh brownies, mmmmmmmmmmm. I was stunned to see Kimberly was wearing her TASP shirt but it was ringless guys. After all that debate about the rings at TASP she goes and defaces our shirt by removing all rings. jk It was nice although we did leave a little late, 10:20 Alabama Time(Central).

After almost being run off the road by a huge-ass truck, having a crazy female truck driver flashing her lights at me b/c I was going "too slow", and witnessing a crazy woman pushing her truck on the INTERSTATE with no warning lights on or anything, I had made my first and longest to date road trip. Quite a memorable one, obviously.

I start school on the 18 of August, pretty damn soon. But I know most of you won't be starting until much later. When DO you suckers start school?????(I love writing in Georgia)

Who exactly are our Southern Belles? I suppose Tess counts, living below the Mason-Dixon line, and Ashley. Does Kansas count?

Anyway, I move into my dorm on September 17, classes start September 26. Good old quarter system.

yeah, I suppose you don't have to hit the road so much when other major cities are within 200 miles. my family (no friend roadtrips yet) has a whole system worked out,... down to the last 2 hours of procrastination.
Orientation at CU starts 8/19
