Any Future Factotum?

Has anybody thought about applying to be a factotum whenever we're eligible to do that? Maybe it's the desperation of unemployment that makes me look forward to possible future income, but the thought occured to me for the first time today. Six months ago, I probably would've laughed at such a prospect. Now, it's within the realm of possibility. After all, they do get paid pretty well, haha...
