excitement
Today I went to the dump to recycle things. It is, without a doubt, the most depressing place I’ve ever visited, and I realize this anew every time I go. There are bulldozers constantly moving garbage around atop this hill that’s like a blister on the horizon. I’m not depressed, though. Maybe I’m just impervious; vultures and foul-smelling dust and muck stand no chance. Maybe seeing all the darling little old people waddle around with their plastic tubs of newspapers carries me through.
On an extremely, apologetically nerdy note: Is anyone going to the Amherst diversity weekend thing in September? If I constitute diversity, then the rest of you must qualify.

Amherst, ey? That's not too far from Providence... So tell me which weekend and I'll think of a good, convincing reason to come stalk you.
